Car Parking in Barnstaple

Seven Brethren long and short stay car parks are experiencing high demand at the moment. 

With the Covid-19 vaccination and booster clinic at the Leisure Centre, the Christmas Village and Ice Rink at Tarka Tennis Centre and construction traffic for the new Tarka Leisure Centre, plus business as usual at the Leisure Centre and Tarka Tennis, the car parks are getting very congested.

We'd like to make it clear that other businesses on Seven Brethren, such as BJs Value House, are all open and trading as usual too. 

For all owners of a Barnstaple Long Stay Parking Permit, we have been able to put in place a temporary measure where you are able to use the car park at Hardaway Head (off Queen Street) instead which has 119 spaces.

The postcode for Hardaway Head is EX32 8HJ.

Permit holders can park their vehicle at Hardaway Head until 31 December 2021 without the need to worry that they will incur a Penalty Charge.

For Christmas shoppers, some of the quieter short stay car parks in the town can be found at Hardaway Head, Bear Street and North Walk.
