Our recycling officers have provided us with some insider info about how you can help to speed up recycling collections this festive season.

• Please place items for recycling on every collection date for your property - don’t save it up and place out lots one week and nothing on another
• Don't worry if a different type of waste and recycling vehicle than usual comes round for your items -  we know there is always more to collect after the festive season, so we get as many of our vehicles out as possible to complete collections. This means we may send out one vehicle to collect glass, another for card and another for food waste - it just helps to speed things along and keep North Devon tidy 
• Don't forget to present glass in your blue recycling box, this will leave more room in your other recycling box for plastic and tins
• If you have some different items to dispose of than usual and you're not sure which bin, bag or box to place them in check out the 'what goes where guide' on our website to refresh your memory

If you have a permit for green wheelie bin, garden waste collections they will stop for two weeks between 21 December 2020 and 1 January 2021.
