North Devon Council changes to Christmas waste and recycling collection dates

Christmas and New Year Collections

Please note recycling and refuse collection dates do not follow the same pattern this year - please see the table below for collection dates for each type of waste.

Garden waste collections have been suspended and will not be collected at all between 23 December and 4 January.

RECYCLING Collection dates from Monday 23 December to Saturday 4 January: 

There will be no recycling collections on Christmas Day or Boxing Day - we will collect double the amount of recycling on Thursday 2 January and Friday 3 January instead.

During week commencing 23 December, all collections will be on the usual day except for 25 & 26 December which will not be collected.

During week commencing 30 December, Monday and Tuesday collections will be on the usual day, there are no collections on 1 January and the rest of collections that week will be one day later than usual.

BLACK WHEELIE BIN Collection dates from Monday 23 December to Saturday 4 January: 

During week commencing 23 December collections will mostly remain on the same day, apart from Christmas Day, which will be collected on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day which will be collected on Friday 27 December.

During week commencing 30 December, Monday and Tuesday collections will be on the usual day, there are no collections on 1 January and the rest of collections that week will be one day later than usual.

Normal collection dates for garden waste, black wheelie bins and recycling will resume again from week commencing Monday 6 January.
