Lush

In 2007 Lush created their Charity Pot body cream product to raise money for charities and other good causes. 100 percent (minus the tax) of all the money raised goes directly to grassroots charities and campaign groups to fund work on animal protection, human rights and environmental issues around the world.

They prefer to fund smaller organisations, especially those who have limited resources and find it difficult to find funding elsewhere.  They offer funding from £100 to £10,000 to grassroots groups that need help to make a positive difference to our world.

The Charity Pot product labels are regularly updated with images and information that represent the charities supported by the fund, so customers can see where their money is going.

Clear information for organisations hoping to receive Charity Pot funding can be found on their website.

This criteria ensures that they select only charities which are in line with their ethical values. All groups must meet the entry criteria.

For full details of the scheme, how to apply, or to purchase a Charity Pot Body Lotion, please visit https://uk.lush.com/article/charity-pot-funding-guidelines-0

North Devon Council’s Community Councillor Grants Scheme

£42,000 is available to local charities, Town and Parish Councils, CICs, Voluntary groups and other Community Groups across the region to help support the running costs of local organisations, projects providing services to the Community, new facilities or re-furbishing existing ones, events and environmental or open space community projects.

The Council recognises the value that Voluntary and Community Groups add to life in North Devon, and the Community Councillor Grants scheme offers a way for Councillors to help support these groups and the local Community.

Each of our 42 District Councillors is allocated £1,000 per year to help address the issues, needs and aspirations of local communities through projects or services run by community groups and voluntary organisations.

The application form is now available to download here

Boshier–Hinton Foundation

The Boshier-Hinton Foundation exists to improve quality of life for people with disabilities or learning difficulties, and their families.  They do this by making donations to charitable institutions providing facilities and advocacy for children and adults with special educational or other needs, or by making donations to other registered Charities, or by making donations to local community charities or other agencies in any part of the country whose objects are no wider than the charity's own, or to any charity for particular purposes which fall within the Foundation's objects.

The Trustees are experienced in working and caring for children and adults with special needs and their families. It is also their experience that funding for projects to promote the welfare of individuals and groups of individuals continues to be difficult to obtain as grants have become more restricted and limited in recent years. The purpose of this Charity is to identify areas of need and make appropriate grants, where possible.

The Foundation accepts applications for grants in writing and email.

If you are interested in applying for a grant for your charity please download the application form from their website and send it to: The Boshier-Hinton Foundation, Whitegates, 32 Lower Street, Horning, Norfolk, NR12 8AA.

If you have any questions about the application please telephone 01692 630695 or email: boshierhinton@yahoo.co.uk
