Good afternoon,
This week we announced that £2m from a £20m Government cash pot to be used over the next 10 years will be used to renovate children's centres in Scunthorpe. The money will be used to enhance existing – and create new – community centres.
February is here, which means North Lincolnshire Jobs Expo is taking place very soon - next week in fact. There will be hundreds of opportunities for people looking for a job or a change in career, with some of the region's leading employers.
Thank-you to everyone who joined us for another Facebook Live session on Thursday evening. We kicked off with some useful information from one of our local litter-picking and recycling champions, and I would encourage everyone to make some of the changes suggested.
Once again, I apologise if you have experienced any disruption to your bin collection lately.
It is worth remembering we have one of the most comprehensive kerbside collection services in the country, with no charge for brown waste – plus we collect clothes, small electricals and batteries.
Keeping up such a high standard is challenging, but we are aware of the situation and are working hard to get everything back up to speed.
Have a great weekend.
Rob
