Normanby Christmas Market - WEB

Dear subscriber,

We hope this edition of Normanby News finds you well, warm and full of mince pies!

As we type, the Normanby elves are busy getting ready for one of our most popular events - yes, that's right, the Christmas Market makes a welcome return this weekend, 11 and 12 December from 10am to 4pm, and you're invited!

With more than 80 businesses taking part, as well as the Travelling Historical Market traders and fairground rides, it's a great chance to wrap up, shop local and enjoy the festive atmosphere!

Visitors to the market can also take advantage of a fantastic membership offer. Over the weekend, both new members and those looking to renew can buy a 15 month pass for the price of 12 months! Simply visit the Gift Shop or the Normanby trailer during the event to claim this. The membership offer can also be purchased as a gift - perfect for Christmas!

Entry to the market is free. Car parking costs £4 (free for Normanby membership holders). As we will be making use of our overspill car parks, which do not have card coverage, bringing correct change for parking would be much appreciated and help speed up entry!

Find out more about the event on the North Lincolnshire Council website.

Please be aware that a number of fake Facebook events targeting shoppers have been set up relating to the Christmas Market. There is no Virtual Normanby Christmas Market being held online this year. Please follow the Normanby Hall Facebook page and website for official information.

Road closures

As we are expecting the market to be busy, a road diversion will be implemented to ease the flow of traffic and minimise disruption.

A road closure will be in operation on Normanby Road between the Normanby village roundabout and junction B1430, Burton Road, Thealby. Entrance from these junctions will be for event traffic only. All other traffic will be diverted via Burton upon Stather. The road will be closed from 9am-4pm on both dates.

Regency Christmas

Christmas comes to Normanby Hall

With twinkling lights, floating stars and roaring fires, Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year at Normanby Hall!

In 1830, when Normanby Hall was built, Christmas looked different to what we recognise as traditional today. Using the touchscreens in the ground floor rooms, visitors can discover how the Sheffield family might have spent Christmas at Normanby Hall in the late Regency period.

Don't miss your chance to see the decorations in all their splendour - the hall is open from 11am to 3pm every Friday, Saturday and Sunday before Christmas and daily from 17 to 24 December.

Gift Shop2

Christmas gifts for the whole family

Wanting to surprise a loved one this Christmas? The Normanby Hall Gift Shop has a fantastic range of handcrafted gifts and stocking fillers from local artists. New this year is the Zoo Ceramics range, featuring adorable animal pieces from Maggie Betley and Tracy Wright - how cute are those robins!? You'll also find felting, Lincoln Tea and Coffee and eco dog toys and treats from Green and Wilds in stock.

Vegetable boxes are also available to buy. Filled with locally grown, seasonal produce, the boxes cost £14 each and can be ordered by emailing: normanby.hall@northlincs.gov.uk.

For the golfer in your life, look no further than the Pro Shop at Normanby Hall Golf Course! Latest arrivals include Ping Monsoon cart bags, PowaKaddy Winter Wheels and a great range of clothing.

Normanby Winter

Walking in a winter wonderland!

The recent wintry weather brought a dusting of snow to the park - our very own winter wonderland!

Many of our other festive events have already sold out (thank you!) but our beautiful grounds are open for families to enjoy a walk and warming drink. Don't forget to join the hunt for the Normanby elves and download your free trail sheet from our website.

Those who visit on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays before Christmas and daily from 20 to 24 December will also be able to watch the Normanby team feed the deer behind the hall at approximately 11.30am.

You'll find the full list of our opening times on our website.

Until next time, thank you for reading and we look forward to welcoming you to the park soon.

Wishing you a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
