Need childcare for the Easter holidays? We can help you find
an out of school club or childminder to care for your child this Easter.
All our clubs and childminders are OfSTED registered and
will provide your child with fun filled days in a safe environment so you can
go to work with peace of mind.
To find the right one for you check out our web page about

personalised list.
Do you think formal childcare is too expensive for you to consider? There are a variety of schemes to help carers meet the costs of childcare
including working parents earning less than £100,000 per year. You can find out
more on our help with childcare costs web page by clicking the link below, or why not call one of our friendly staff for a chat about what is on offer for you.

Parents and carers wanting to access 15 or 30 hours of
funded childcare for their two, three or four year old in the Summer term need
to act now if they have not already done so.
Some children who will turn two on or before 31
March are eligible for up to 15 hours of funded childcare per week if their
family meet certain eligibility criteria.
|
All children who turn three on or before 31 March are
eligible for up to 15 hours of funded childcare per week starting after Easter until
they go to school. To access this funding all you need to do is find a funded childcare
provider with an available place.
Working parents of three and four year old's may be eligible
to increase the number of funded hours to up to 30 if they earn at least £120
per week and less than £100,000 per year. To apply for the 30 hours you must
make an application to the Government before 31 March for a start in the Summer
term by visiting
Already receiving the 30 hours or Tax Free Childcare?
Don’t forget to
re-confirm your eligibility to ensure the funding continues in the new
term. Parents must do this every three months by logging in to their Government
Gateway account.

Unfortunately we did not receive any entries to our February
half term competition but the good news is that we have rolled the prize over
to the Easter holidays.
To win a gift voucher for a family meal for four people in
the café at 20-21 Visual Arts Centre in Scunthorpe, all you have to do is visit
one of their exhibitions or free ‘artivities’ sessions over the Easter holidays
and send us a short review of your visit.
Email your review to fis@northlincs.gov.uk
by midnight on Sunday 15 April 2018 to be in with a chance. The winner will be
chosen by our panel on Monday 16 April and contacted by phone or email to
arrange collection of their prize, so do remember to include your contact
details.
The winning review will also be published in the April
edition of Family Focus.

A
young carer is any young person who provides care and support to a family
member. The Wellbeing and Young Carer team offers support to young carers
including emotional, practical support and trips out so they can have time away
from their caring responsibilities. They are holding a fundraising event on 21
April at Barton Methodist Church so why not go along and show them your
support! – more details here. |
