 Normanby Hall
Although most of us welcome the summer sun, high temperatures can be harmful to your health. The heat can affect anyone, but some people run a greater risk of serious harm. As our climate changes, hot spells are expected to be more frequent and more intense.
Read the Public Health England; Beat the Heat leaflet, to see how to stay safe in hot weather, including how to keep your home cool. It tells you who is at greatest risk of ill health from the heat, how to recognise when you or someone’s health may be affected, and what to do if you or someone else becomes unwell as a result of the heat.
Further useful information is available on the NHS Choices website.

We realise that for working parents/carers of primary school-age children that
the school holiday periods are always a challenging time to try and find
activities that children want to take part in, especially activities that fit around your
work commitments, whilst being affordable and providing a safe,
quality provision, that can work around a full working day.
In order to look
at this issue, and with the prospect of expanding the service that the council currently
offer within the leisure centres, and some of our visitor attraction sites (eg Normanby Hall Country Park, the Museum and 20 : 21), we are seeking the
opinion of parents about this very issue, and welcome your views on how we look
to shape our future school holiday provision.
If you are
interested in having your say, and would like an input into shaping future
council services on what your child(ren) would like to do over the summer, then we would be grateful if you could spare a few moments of your time to gather your thoughts and answer a few questions.
It is easy to
have your say, just access the online survey, alternatively if you
do not have access the internet then please request a hard copy of the
questionnaire by telephoning 01724 297270 and leave your name and address and a
questionnaire will be posted out to you.

Save
money and time on fuel bills
North Lincolnshire Council’s successful collective
switching scheme offers you a chance to find a better deal to keep fuel bills as
low as possible. The scheme has been running since August 2013, and has so
far saved local households collectively over £100,000 on fuel bills, with
average savings of over £250 per household.
Many residents have highlighted the great savings
to be made and how simple the switching process is. Collective switching
enables households to sign up to a scheme that allows an intermediary to enter
an auction with energy companies on their behalf, to secure a discounted energy
price.
Working with iChoosr, the UK’s leading provider of
collective switching, residents have until 9 October 2017 to
register for the latest round online.
The timetable for registering your interest is:
Autumn Auction 2017
- Launch from: 7 August 2017
- Auction: 10 October 2017
- Offers out from: 23 October 2017
- Closure: 28 November 2017 (last date to accept offer)
For further information and to register on line
please visit the collective switching webpage.
To request a paper form to be sent out to you or
for more information about the scheme, please contact North Lincolnshire
Council, Home Assistance Team on housing@northlincs.gov.uk.
The deadline for returning paper forms is Friday 6 October 2017.
