Free Family Event

Museum at Night is Superhero night!

Friday 13 May 5pm to 8pm

Take part in our free mask making activity, plus a free Superhero trail which will take you around the Museum for a chance to collect Superhero powers. Look out for Superhero's waiting to greet you along the way!

Come dressed up as your favourite Superhero of all time. Open to parents as well as children. Prizes for the best dressed Superhero of the night.

Free admission, no need to book just turn up. Open to organised children’s parties. Contact the museum for details. Working in partnership with Scunthorpe’s Little Theatre Group.

Harold Gosney Exhibition

My Life as an Artist

This temporary sculpture exhibition covers 60 years of his work from 1959 to the present day, and is supported by what he describes as ‘working drawings’, but are clearly works of art in themselves.

You can see this exhibition until Sunday 19 June 2016.

Brand new Post-War gallery

Featuring a 50’s style kitchen, 60’s living room and 70’s collection items

You will be able to discover the lifestyles of these decades. This new gallery also be activities and games for visitors to explore, including dressing up, kitchen sensory board and object handling.

Courtyard Tearooms and gift shop

The new Courtyard tearoom offers a brand new snack and lunchtime menu, Lavazza coffee, indoor furniture and a takeout service. Open 7 days a week.

A new and improved gift shop and reception area, offering a wider range of Museum merchandise, pocket money toys and books.
