Ways to ease the burden of worry

If you are struggling financially as a result of the coronavirus outbreak you can find a range of useful pointers on our Coronavirus, 'Your Money' web page.

For example, if you have experienced a drop in income, you may be entitled to a reduction in your council tax or help with housing benefit.

The Scottish Welfare Fund provides an emergency safety net for people on low incomes and benefits, especially in times of crisis. At the moment, given the many problems that people are facing, our team are focusing all of their efforts on awarding and processing crisis grants. Don’t worry if you can’t get through straight away – the service is in great demand right now so please bear with us and keep trying.
