Spooktacular Halloween Fun at Summerlee Museum

Be prepared for some frightfully fun activities all day from 10am - 5pm.

Halloween Parties including an hour of crafts, games, glitter tattoo and fancy dress.


Halloween activities include:

  • Halloween Hunt (10am-5pm) - Find the ravens and win a disgusting treat. £1 per sheet.
    Fancy dress competition (11am-3pm) - Come dressed up and get into the spirit of the day. Prizes for the best costume every hour.
  • Slime Workshop (from 11am) - Discover what makes slime so slimy. Get your mitts on some gruesome goo and make some alien slime to take home. £3.
  • Spooky Photos (11am-4pm) - Get dressed up and have a spooky photo taken in the Photomedia Studio. £3 per photograph or 2 for £5.
  • Spooky tales for children (11.30am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm & 2.30pm) - Listen to some scarytales in the school pod, main exhibition hall. Free.
  • Vampire Hunter Training (2pm-3pm) - Learn about Emily Gerard, the Monklands vampire expert who inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula. Discover how to dispose of a vampire and make a bat shaped sweet pouch for your Halloween treats. £3.
  • Frightening Face Painting (12noon-3pm) - Get your face painted in the main exhibition hall. £3.
  • Horrible Halloween Themed Balloons (12noon-3pm) - Get your own spooky balloon. £2-£3 each.
  • Halloween Party times are 10.30am, 12noon, 1.30pm and 3pm. £5.50 per person includes a party bag for every child.
