 Letters
are being sent to all households by North Lanarkshire Council, informing
residents about changes to household bin services, which come into effect from
October.
The
letters will delivered by 7 September.
There
will be changes to the types of materials that can be recycled in each bin, as
well as how often bins are collected, but every household will still receive a
weekly collection and it will be the same collection day every week.
Later
this month, a leaflet will be sent to households with full details of the
changes to the waste and recycling service, along with a calendar setting out
collection dates. New compostable liners will also be provided for food waste
recycling.
Information
roadshows are being held across North Lanarkshire where staff will be available
to explain the changes and answer any questions from residents.
