We're asking residents to report any incidents of fly tipping and help us identify those responsible.
Postcards
are being distributed to households where fly tipping is a problem, encouraging
residents to give details of the vehicle or people involved. We'll then use the information to trace and prosecute those responsible.
We're looking for information about the location and timing of fly tipping plus descriptions of the people involved and registration numbers of vehicles.
You can provide this information, anonymously if you prefer, using the postcards, online or by phone to our Customer Contact Centre on 01698 403110.
Fly
tipping often occurs on rural roads and open spaces, but also in communal areas
of flats and other residential areas.
It is a crime and individuals face a fixed penalty notice of £200. For businesses the fine increases to £40,000 and/or two years in prison.
