 Winter
is just around the corner so now is the time to prepare.
This is the first in a series of newsletters with advice and information over the winter months.
By acting now, you can prevent problems when the winter weather arrives.
For
example:
- Put
an emergency kit in your car, including a blanket, torch and snacks
- Keep
a stock of essentials at home, including medicines and baby food
- Take
care of family members and neighbours who may need support during severe weather
- Make
a list of emergency contacts for your gas, electricity and water suppliers and keep mobile phones charged in case of a power cut
- Find your nearest grit bin and help keep your pavements and drives clear.
