 Partnership approach brings community together
A primary school and an out of school care organisation in Bellshill have been nominated for a prestigious award in recognition of their work to bring their community together.
Sacred Heart Primary and Nursery Classes alongside Orbiston YMCA Out of School Care are in the running for this year's Education Scotland "Transforming lives through Partnerships" award.
Their activities involve encouraging children and parents to enjoy the great outdoors and also have a monthly meal together.
 From August 2015, more 2 year olds are entitled to free early education and childcare
If you are on low income or in receipt of certain benefits, then your child could get up to 600 hours a year free early education and childcare with an approved nursery or childminder.
