Dear Colleague,
Helen Brown, Chief Executive Officer of Whittington Health NHS Trust has decided to resign from her role at the Trust.
Helen was critical in bringing in excellent candidates to key executive positions at the Trust and created a stable and credible senior team. The Trust wishes Helen well in her future career.
From the end of March, Dr Clare Dollery, who has served as Medical Director since 2019, will act as CEO and Accountable Officer. She will be supported by Terry Whittle our Chief Finance Officer who will act as Deputy CEO.
Clare has been acting as Deputy CEO supported by Matthew Shaw of Great Ormond Street Hospital who has been acting as interim Accountable Officer since Helen began a secondment with NHS London late last year.
Dr Clarissa Murdoch will become acting Medical Director from April 1, 2024, whilst a longer term appointment is made for the period that Clare is acting CEO.
I am delighted that Clare, who has been with us since 2019 and knows the organisation very well has agreed to step up to the CEO role, I am sure you will join me in wishing her all the best.
Yours,
Julia,
Baroness Julia Neuberger DBE
Chair
