HRA Now: survey on implementing amendments 

This is a HRA Now update, bringing you important operational updates from the HRA – including changes to guidance or processes which might affect you.

UK wide survey on implementing amendments at NHS/HSC organisations

We are running two surveys to help us get a complete picture of the barriers and enablers to implementing amendments efficiently across the UK. We would like to hear from sponsor trial managers as well as participating NHS/HSC sites.

You’ve told us that there are significant issues with the implementation of amendments at participating sites across the UK. Whilst amendments should be implemented uniformly across all sites in line with the UK Policy Framework, this is often not the case.

These surveys are specifically looking at the implementation of amendments at sites. 

If you are a trial manager or trial coordinator for a commercial or non-commercial sponsor organisation, or work in a CTU/ CRO on behalf of sponsor organisations please complete the following survey: Amendment Survey Trial Managers

If you work in an NHS/HSC R&D/I office, or as part of the participating site delivery team, please complete the following survey: Amendment Survey Participating Sites

If you work in an NHS/HSC R&D Office, you should not complete both even if you sponsor studies. Please cascade the trial managers’ survey to your trial managers to complete.

The survey should take about 10 mins (13 questions in total). We really want to hear from you on the things that are working well and the issues you are experiencing, so the survey has plenty of free text boxes to provide feedback!

The survey is open until 28^th October 2021. The results will be analysed and provide evidence and understanding for the UK wide discussions on development of processes and guidance.
