Becoming a new Trust on 1 November
The countdown has begun with only 71 days now to us becoming the new North London NHS Foundation Trust on 1 November, subject to final Secretary of State approval.
We recently recruited around 60 Change Ambassadors from among our staff. Their role is to support us through this transition period by sharing the vision for our new Trust, celebrating our successes and connecting colleagues. At one of their recent meetings, they shared their excitement about our new Trust and The North London Way – our organisational development programme for the new Trust.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mark Pritchard as Managing Director for Enfield Division.
Mark is a registered Mental Health Nurse, who has experience in managing both community and urgent care mental health service. He has held a number of operational roles since joining BEH in 2016, prior to which he led the Islington EIP Service. Congratulations, Mark!
Join us to celebrate World Patient Safety Day on Tuesday 17 September.
Our Partnership event will feature expert guest speakers, interactive discussions, and presentations focused on enhancing patient safety in mental health care. We'll also showcase the work that has been done across the Partnership to improve patient safety.
Recovery College Open Day - join the team on Wednesday 4 September, 10am-1pm, and find out more about the free wellbeing courses offered to everyone living or working in Camden and Islington. Operation Cavell webinar - join our next Operation Cavell webinar on Thursday 12 September to find out more about how we are working to prevent attacks on staff across our Partnership. World Suicide Prevention Day webinar - Tuesday 10 September is World Suicide Prevention Day and to mark the event, we are holding a learning event with the Samaritans. The theme is the Internet, Suicide and Self-harm. Read more.
Use translation and interpreting services? NHS England is currently conducting a staff survey to better understand staff experiences of using translation and interpretation services. The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete and closes on Friday 6 September. Take the survey and read more.
International Overdose Awareness Day Training - The Forensic Dual Diagnosis team in collaboration with the START Inpatient Forensic Service are hosting a number of online training to raise awareness of this important day. Read more
Read the latest information regarding the situation, risk factors, symptoms and transmission relating to Mpox, previously known a Monkeypox.
If you or a colleague suspect to have Mpox, please stay at home, contact NHS 111 or your GP surgery, but avoid attendance in person and contact the Infection Prevention and Control team for suspected patient cases.
Requests for patient information from the police - please make sure that the appropriate process is followed for police requesting access to patient records, and that the relevant information, governance and legal advice is obtained during the process. Read our guidance.
Moving emails to NHS.net is now complete! By the end of this week almost all Candi.nhs.uk users will have moved to NHS.net and will now be using their new NHS.net email accounts. There is a small number of candi.nhs.uk users who are being supported on an individual basis to move to NHS.net, but the overall move has now finished. Please be reminded that moving your MS Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive is part of the next phase of this process, and more information regarding this will be shared next week. If you are experiencing any issues since moving to NHS.net, please visit the NHS.net intranet page for helpful information, including how to guides. Thank you to the digital team for all your hard work on this move.
Leaving the social media platform X - as you will have heard earlier this week, the Partnership has decided to leave X (formerly known as Twitter) as we've seen a growing intolerance on the platform of anyone who is different. Read more

Planned outage - as we continue to move to new datacentres, the IT/Digital team will be undertaking maintenance works tomorrow Friday 23 August between 5-5:30am. During this 30-minute maintenance window, some systems will be impacted including Rio - EPR, EPMA, ESR and HealthRoster. Read more
