Introducing RiO for patient records
Following the Carenotes outage on 4 August, the Trust Board has agreed that will be introducing RiO as our Electronic Patient Records (EPR) system for at least 12 months. We will start using RiO on Tuesday 20 September. Our IT team has been working on this and training sessions have started. Please look out for the online RiO Awareness sessions in your Outlook calendars this week. In-depth training sessions will start next week.
You should continue to use SharePoint, or your relevant Business Continuity system in place, until the move to RiO. You can see information about this change here, which is also available from the red strap across the intranet homepage. Please note, RiO training resources will be made available very shortly.

Following the death of Her Majesty the Queen, ceremonial events are taking place over the next seven days, to allow members of the public to pay their respects during this period of national mourning.
These events are expected to bring tens of thousands of people from across the country and around the world, to London. This will lead to busy services and short term changes to how stations operate, including queuing or changes to the way you may need to enter or exit a station. There are also road closures in place throughout the capital which will impact on some cycling routes and bus services. Please bear this in mind as you travel to and from work. Operation Cavell
Operation Cavell is a joint initiative with the Metropolitan Police and the Crown Prosecution Service to increase prosecutions and convictions of people who commit crimes against our staff.
The aim of the webinars, like the one that took place on Monday, is to share knowledge on next steps and procedures if an assault has occurred and to send a clear message that it is not OK to be attacked or abused in the workplace - even if it is considered by some ‘all part of the job’.
Over 92 people attended the session, including lead, Natalie Fox, Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer, staff from both trusts and representatives from the Metropolitan Police.
If you missed the webinar, you can view the slides here. The date for next Operation Cavell webinar will be announced soon. To find out more about what support is available to you, please click below.
