Direct Computers is growing, and we're on the lookout for a hands-on, tech-savvy individual to support our lead PC builder. If you're passionate about custom PCs, enjoy solving problems, and want to be part of a small but dedicated team, this could be the perfect role for you. Duties will include assisting with PC builds and hardware assembly, installing an OS and essential drivers/software, performing testing, diagnostics, and benchmarking as well as supporting with system repairs, upgrades, and maintenance, helping keep the workshop clean, organised, and efficient. You will gain hands-on experience in a real-world PC building environment, work alongside experienced techs and learn on the job, have staff discounts on custom PCs and components and the chance to be part of a growing local business with a reputation for quality.
The ideal Candidate will have a strong interest in PC hardware and gaming systems, basic hands-on experience of building or working on PCs, reliable, eager to learn, and able to work well in a fast-paced environment, comfortable following processes and taking initiative when needed.
This is a Zero-hour contract with flexible working days, typically, 2–3 days per week, ideal days being Tuesday-Thursday. Additional hours available during busy seasonal periods (e.g. Black Friday, Christmas, product launches).
