We have a vacancy for an IT Technician based at our Head Office (S41 0JW) Reporting to the Head of Finance and Management Information, the main purpose of the role is to provide first line technical support for all IT issues and to contribute to the departments objective of improving the efficiency of its data management and communication service.
Key Duties:
• Maintain user profiles, permissions and email accounts • Maintain an Inventory of hardware and software • Purchase, configure, install and maintain software, computers, laptops, printers, smart phones and peripherals etc… • General PC, Laptop & Printer hardware maintenance and fault diagnosis • LAN, Workstation, Server and VOIP maintenance • Assist with the testing of software and hardware solutions • Management of web content • Identify the hardware and software needed to provide effective solutions to problems

Refuse HGV Driver/Labourer
Eckington Depot, Riverside Depot Doe Lea and various Council establishments £26,421 to £28,770 per annum Full Time, 37 hours per week
The Council is seeking a Refuse HGV Driver/Labourer to join its Streetscene Team. The successful applicant will be part of a friendly and hardworking team, undertaking the collection of waste from household and commercial properties. This role provides the opportunity to work across the District with established hours based on a task and finish arrangement.
A full clean Driving Licence with licence category C. (HGV) is essential. Knowledge and experience of driving Refuse Collection and light commercial vehicles would be advantageous. In return, the Council offers generous annual leave entitlement (up to 35 days) and the opportunity to develop your skills.

Apprentice Dental Nurse
£11,668.80 to £23,028.20 - Monday - Friday, 08.30 - 17.30. 30 minute lunch break.
A career defining opportunity to work and train within a renowned specialist dental practice. The role will involve meeting and greeting patients, providing chair side support to the dentists and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. You will naturally be able to demonstrate a high level of professional presentation
What you will do in your working day
- Reporting to the Practice Manager
- Greeting patients
- Chair side assistance to the dentist during all dental procedures including surgical procedures
- Recording of patient’s clinical records to computer
- Clean and prepare surgery before, during and after patient treatments
- Disinfection and decontamination of used instruments after patients
- Additionally you will be expected to act as receptionist when necessary and carry out routine clerical tasks - handling payments, booking appointments, answering the telephone
- Attend Charles Clifford Dental Hospital one day per week within the duration of the apprenticeship to study: Dental anatomy, Oral diseases, medical emergencies, dental radiography and sterilisation
- You will learn about oral health promotion and preventative dentistry techniques
- Some units will focus on patient care and management and you will cover legal and ethical issues
The training you will be getting
- Dental Nurse Apprenticeship Standard Level 3 Qualification: Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing
- This will include weekly college attendance at Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, formative assessments and a final End Point Assessment for evaluation and accreditation.

Childcare Apprentice - £10,982.40 per year
Tiddlers Day Nursery are looking to take on a Childcare Apprentice to work within their team as part of this position you will support staff members in any role within the nursery and you will also complete a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
What you will do in your working day
- To keep mentor informed of progress and to raise any concerns or issues with them
- To undertake any other duties that may need doing
- To help ensure that nutritional needs of the children are met and that food safety regulations are complied with
