 Chameleon School of Construction are a private training school offering Diploma courses in Construction trades in plastering, tiling, multi-skills and bricklaying.
Our courses are fully funded if you are currently unemployed and claiming benefits. Courses are 2 days per week and take around 6-9 months to complete.
Our Ripley centre offers bricklaying Diploma courses, Pinxton offers plastering, tiling courses & our Staveley centre offers bricklaying, plastering, tiling and multi-skills courses.
We are holding open days at our centres which would give you the opportunity to look around the centre, speak with the tutor and enrol on the day should you wish.

Here at NTA, Northern Training Academy, we’re offering a fully funded 6 week Traineeship programme including your 2 weeks placement at a fashion retail store.

 The Disability Employment Service, Derbyshire County Council is a free of charge service who support those with disabilities to find and maintain, training, work experience, voluntary, and paid employment.
We understand that employment is not just about money. It provides structure, social contact, and friendships. Having a job also improves a person’s self-esteem, and confidence.
The service helps throughout the employment process, it can signpost to other services for assistance with writing a CV and then looking into an area of work that has been identified by the individual. We help with applying for the job, and once the application has been sent, we then prepare you for interviews. Once a person has gained employment, we offer in work support to ensure that employee can work to the best of their ability, either with assisting equipment, or further training. Although we cannot promise that you will get an interview or gain employment, we aim to provide everyone with the opportunity to contribute to a workplace, something that people may have deemed unrealistic or unachievable. We believe everyone deserves the chance to achieve.

No previous equine experience nor academic qualifications are required to apply. The National Horseracing College offers a 12 Week Residential Foundation Course that will ensure you have the necessary skills to gain employment in the racing industry, which has both riding, and non-riding pathways.
