A special welcome event for our new starters was held on Tuesday 31 January at the Council House.Â
Colleagues heard from key speakers including Senior Leadership, Corporate Directors, Councillors and representatives of Employment and Wellbeing.
Alongside the presentation, colleagues browsed through stalls related to employment perks, had a chat with key-speakers, met other new starters and had a tour of the Council House.Â
New starters to the organisation (within the last six months) are encouraged to come along to a welcome event and you can book your place here.
Welcome to all our new colleagues that have recently joined the council! Thank you to our colleagues in the Development and Change team for organising these popular welcome events.
Marcia Ingram (left) Janet Rose (right) Nottingham Travel Centre
We have received some fantastic feedback from a citizen praising Marcia Ingram, Janet Rose and colleagues at the Nottingham Travel Centre.
"IÂ would like to say I visited the Travel Centre on Monday 30 January to get my bus pass and must say how welcoming all the staff were.
"Marcia looked after me and dealt with my request in the most professional manner, I even got them to sing happy birthday to me.
"Thank you all so much! You are all a credit to Nottingham City Council".
Amazing feedback for our brilliant colleagues at the Nottingham Travel Centre! Thank you Marcia for being fabulous and thank you Janet for your vocals in singing happy birthday! â¤Â Your professionalism and friendliness to this citizen clearly made his day, and his birthday.
Mrs Tulloch and friends at Marcus Garvey Day Centre
Mrs Tulloch, who attends Marcus Garvey Day Centre, celebrated her birthday in the company of other citizens who access the day centre.
Mrs Tullochâs granddaughter made a spectacular birthday cake for her to share with her friends and all enjoyed several games of bingo, the birthday girlâs day was made even more special as Mrs Tulloch won all the three games!
Happy Birthday Mrs Tulloch ⤠Huge thank you to our colleagues involved in celebrating her special day with friends at Marcus Garvey Day centre.Â
IT Windows Upgrade team - pictured left to right: Mohsin Atta, Ryan Ashley, Christian Fairbrother-Adams & Michael Lambley
Thank you Martin Bee in Traffic & Flood Risk Management, for contacting us to give a huge shout out to Michael Lambley and the IT Windows Upgrade team Mohsin Atta, Ryan Ashley and Christian Fairbrother-Adams.
"My laptop Windows 10 Upgrade was recently completed and I have to say everything was very efficient, friendly and very well co-ordinated.
"The booking-in process was easy (with lots of day / time options) and on the day the directional signage to the allocated meeting room was helpful.
"It was nice to have an option of a loan laptop, although these are acknowledged to be very slow and perhaps demonstrate how technology has progressed!
"Michael Lambley and team are doing a great job. Credit, where creditâs due."
This is fabulous feedback! Thank you to Michael and the IT Windows Upgrades team for your expertise, coordination and friendliness - you are all amazing thank you!
