Garden Waste collections return in April

Garden Waste

Spring is here – and so is your garden waste collection!

Get mowing that lawn and pruning the plants – garden waste collections will soon start up again in the city!

For those of you that receive garden waste collections, your first collection of the year will take place on your first normal recycling collection in April. Just put your brown garden waste bin out with your grey lidded recycling bin.

To find out more about what you can put in your garden waste bin please visit www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/householdwaste. You can also check your bin collection day from this page.

Community Clear Up Day - this weekend!

Clean up day

We are supporting Keep Britain Tidy in their National Community Clear Up Day!

Saturday 21 March is the first day of spring - so why not organise a clean up to spruce up your area?

We are providing any groups and individuals who are taking part with bags, gloves and litter pickers, and collecting all the rubbish at the end of the day.

So whether you're a group of friends and neighbours, a litter clean-up group, a local business, a school or on your own, what better way to kick off the season than by organising a big spring clean?

For further information and to request support from Nottingham City Council please email neighbourhood.services@nottinghamcity.gov.uk or call 0115 9152000.

Supporting students to recycle more!

Student recycling

We are working with partners to help students on Lenton Boulevard recycle more and improve the outlook of the neighbourhood.

We are undertaking a number of different activities to try and increase recycling with the target group and decrease the amount of extra rubbish in the bins which is causing top hatters (over loaded bins) which has a negative impact on the neighbourhood.

For more information about how you can 'Recycle it Right' please download this handy guide.

Working to tackle issues in your neighbourhood

Bulwell day of action

Our Neighbourhood Development Teams and Street Scene staff have been working on many 'Days of Action' and 'Weeks of Action' in neighbourhoods. They have been tackling issues in New Basford, Bulwell and Sherwood and next week they will be hitting Radford and Forest Fields.

Is there an issue in your neighbourhood that we can help with? Please let us know by using the contact information at the bottom of the page and we will try our  best to help!
