We are looking for someone who can help to position Nottingham as a major sporting and community events city, contribute to the delivery of sports and community events in the city, and using the associated profile, to inspire more people to be more active, more often.

To contribute to the strategic direction of events: delivering a 5 year event and communities plan, contribute to the delivery of the city’s Physical Activity and Sports Strategy, acting as the lead officer for the service for the delivery and commissioning of major sporting events.

To organise in partnership with other key organisations ‘Festivals of Sport’ associated with all major sporting events hosted in the city, with the aim of increasing participation and engagement.

To develop and continually update a promotional package of the ‘Nottingham Offer’ to attract new sporting events into the City, profile existing community events hosted and maximise usage of City Council indoor/outdoor facilities.

To establish and implement a robust assessment process to ensure that events hosted contribute towards Departmental and Corporate priorities.

To lead on maximising the sporting and community opportunities and legacy for Nottingham City arising from major international, national and local sporting events.

 

Essential Requirements

Experience of working within a sports and communities development environment and planning and delivering major events and initiatives.

Understanding the role and priorities of a range of sporting event partners including Governing Bodies of Sport, Local Authorities, Private Companies and Economic and Development Agencies.

Ability to analyse priorities and key influences, work successfully with partners and translate into effective delivery of events, programmes and initiatives.

Proven organisational skills and the ability to manage a project from concept to completion, including settling appropriate milestones and timescales.

We have vacancies for 2 full time Care Support Advisors on a temporary basis for 6 months.The role is varied and demanding, providing a first point of contact for Citizens, Carers and  Professionals who wish to access Adult Social Care,and includes taking referrals, giving advice, signposting and liason with external agencies to provide positive outcomes for citizens.   We require enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking people who are keen to provide a quality service to the citizens of Nottingham. Adult Social Care knowledge and experience is useful. Job Summary:

We are seeking to recruit two social workers to join a small team of social workers in an established Forensic Social Work Team

You will deliver a range of Social Care tasks whilst working closely with colleagues from the Health Care Trust, this will include undertaking assessments for packages of social care, reviewing and adjusting established packages, commissioning residential and other specialist community placements with the aim of promoting the engagement of citizens with the wider community.

You will assess the needs of carers and be able to work in partnership with carers and other family members.

Essential requirements:

In order to apply for this role you will be a qualified social worker ideally  having worked or be currently working in a forensic mental health setting. You must be registered with the HCPC and be willing to undertake training to be an Approved Mental Health Practioner (AMHP) or already hold this qualification.

You will be confident in the management of risk and be able to produce reports for the Ministry of Justice and for Mental Health Review Tribunals and be able to present these reports at Tribunals.

You will receive regular supervision to support you to address the complexities and challenges inherent in working  with this particular  client group.

You will be familiar with the concept of safeguarding and be able to work as a safeguarding investigator.

We are looking for a highly experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to work in this newly created post in the Enablement Team. The post holder must hold a Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council.

The post will have a City-wide responsibility to support the Occupational Therapy / Enablement service to ensure that performance and customer care outcomes, in relation to citizens accessing social care and their carers, meet national and local targets and objectives. 

The Enablement Performance Lead role will include supporting staff in the completion of initial and Specialist OT assessments, and progressing complex care, support and equipment plans in line with departmental policies and safeguarding plans. It will also  encompass supporting peers in the effective management of under-performance and to work with the team manager to promote a culture of continuous improvement and assist in Human Resource processes.

The postholder will work alongside the City Occupational Therapy and Enablement Manager being responsible for a locality based Multi-disciplinary Team delivering occupational therapy services for eligible citizens and their carers.

Job Summary:

Highly customer-orientated, you will be dealing with enquiries over the telephone and in writing with regards to Penalty Charge Notices/Fixed Penalty Notices. As this is a front-line service you should have excellent customer services skills and be able to deal with irate customers in a calm, tactful, diplomatic and logical manner.  You should be able to demonstrate that you have excellent written and verbal communication skills, are able to learn a subject from a position of zero knowledge and have a detailed knowledge of computer systems. In addition you should have strong motivational skills to ensure that personal deadlines are met, work with minimum supervision and be an active team member.
