Soak up the sunshine at the first ever Nottingham Food Festival this weekend. Enjoy tasty street food, artisan markets, a cookery theatre, activities, competitions, family entertainment, and live music on the banks of the River Trent.
Foodies will be spoilt for choice with an eclectic mix of global cuisines. There will also be demonstrations in the live cookery theatre with MasterChef: The Professionals contestants and award-winning culinary talent, plus kids cookery classes, and even a Viking heritage kitchen.

This spectacular outdoor event combines the best of pop, dance and chart classics from two unforgettable eras. Whether you grew up singing along to the biggest 90s anthems or dancing to the chart-toppers of the 00s, this is your chance to relive the soundtrack of your youth.
Featuring an incredible live line-up including Claire Richards (Steps), Louise Redknapp, Nadine Coyle (Girls Aloud), Aston Merrygold (JLS) and Tinchy Stryder, expect hit after hit from some of the most recognisable names across both decades.
 Splendour Festival

There's only one week to go until the last ever Splendour Festival! The huge line-up is led by The Wombats, Primal Scream and The K's on Saturday, and Snow Patrol, Editors, and Craig David Presents TS5 on Sunday.
The soaring vocals of Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody will close the festival for the final time. A special 2 for 1 ticket offer* is still available to encourage people to come together and send off Splendour in style.

 English Youth Ballet: Swan Lake

Now in its 28th year, the award-winning English Youth Ballet presents an electrifying adaptation of Swan Lake. The company has established a formidable reputation for classic and dramatic productions and promises a spectacular evening at the theatre.
This acclaimed production is set in 1895 Imperial Russia and tells of love, rivalry, greed and murder. Two unlikely lovers meet: Odette, a dancer with the Mariinsky Ballet and Prince Sergei, son to the Tsar. The action takes place in the Mariinsky Theatre - where the Mariinsky Ballet are preparing for the first-ever production of Swan Lake...
 Harmony at the Hall

The Shipstone Street Jazz Orchestra returns to the Harmony at the Hall series for a third time, showcasing all your favourite Swing and Latin numbers from the 1930s to the 1970s.
The performance starts at 2pm in the Great Hall.
 Sneinton Festival

Local groups, organisations, schools and residents come together to create a grassroots festival with free activities and performances across Sneinton. This year's theme celebrates the element of water.
The Main Festival Day takes place tomorrow, with a parade starting at 11am from St Stephen's Church and ending at Trickett's Park. The day will also feature a Viking encampment, live music and entertainment, dance performances, and community stalls. On Sunday, enjoy a Picnic in the Park at Green's Windmill.

Run 5.30 is the early morning phenomenon that only participants see and hear! Join hundreds of others walking or running the 5k (ish) route that includes the Broad Marsh area, Lace Market, views of Nottingham Castle and a return to the finish along the Canal tow path.
The event raises funds and awareness for Maggie's Nottingham, with £1 of every entry going back to the charity. Entry includes a unique t-shirt, medal, souvenir magazine and a fresh fruit breakfast.
 Clifton Neighbourhood Fun Fair

There's fun for all the family at the Clifton Fun Fair with all your favourite rides and attractions! Entry is free and there's a large free car park too.
The fair is open from 5pm on Friday, 2pm-10pm on Saturday and 2pm-6pm on Sunday.

 New Cultural Investment Fund launched
 Nottingham City Council has launched a new Cultural Investment Fund, offering grants of up to £5,000 to support cultural projects across the city.
Whether youāre planning a community festival, creative workshops, heritage activity, an artistic commission, or a project that helps more people access culture, we want to hear from you. Projects must be completed by 31 March 2027.
