A firm favourite in the city's running calendar, the Nottingham 10K, returns on Sunday (8 March).
The race starts at Old Market Square at 9am, heading past Motorpoint Arena and The Park before finishing inside the grounds of Nottingham Castle. Participants of all abilities are invited to take part and entries will remain open up until the day of the event.
Please note that there will be a number of road closures around the city in order to facilitate the event. There will also be disruption to some Nottingham City Transport and trentbarton bus services. Please check before you travel.
National Highways has reminded motorists of some additional overnight closures in March - full and partial - of the A52 Derby Road as part of its ongoing improvement programme.
The road is currently operating as a 24/7 one-way system for eastbound traffic between the Priory and QMC roundabouts. This allows contractors to complete work on the shared footway and cycleway.Â
The latest will see Derby Road being fully closed between the two roundabouts from 8pm until 6am tonight (6 March) and again on Monday and Tuesday next week (9 and 10 March.

Nottingham's new travel app - which brings together route-planning, ticketing and real-time information - has now been downloaded by more than 11,500 people.
Ride was officially launched in December and is available to download for free in app stores by searching 'Ride East Midlands'.
It enables users to plan, book, pay and ride any journey in the wider Nottingham and Derby areas, across multiple different types of public transport - all in one handy place.
It gives people point-to-point route planning and allows them to buy tickets for all parts of their journey. Another excellent feature is the live map which shows every bus moving in real-time, so it's easy to know whether you have time to finish your coffee or dash for the stop!
