Further closures of A52 Derby Road

National Highways has reminded motorists of some additional overnight closures in March - full and partial - of the A52 Derby Road as part of its ongoing improvement programme.

The road is currently operating as a 24/7 one-way system for eastbound traffic between the Priory and QMC roundabouts. This allows contractors to complete work on the shared footway and cycleway. 

The latest will see the majority of the Priory roundabout closed on Monday and Tuesday next week (2 and 3 March) between 8pm and 6pm, followed by Derby Road being fully closed between the two roundabouts from 8pm until 6am on 5, 6, 9 and 10 March.

More than 10,000 download city's new travel app

Nottingham's new travel app - which brings together route-planning, ticketing and real-time information - has now been downloaded by more than 10,000 people. Ride was officially launched in December and is available to download for free in app stores by searching 'Ride East Midlands'. It enables users to plan, book, pay and ride any journey in the wider Nottingham and Derby areas, across multiple different types of public transport - all in one handy place. It gives people point-to-point route planning and allows them to buy tickets for all parts of their journey. Another excellent feature is the live map which shows every bus moving in real-time, so it's easy to know whether you have time to finish your coffee or dash for the stop! Download the app through the new Ride website here.
