Parkrun has launched Parkrun Primary, a new initiative linking schools with local Junior Parkrun events to support children’s health, wellbeing and community connections.
Schools take part through a simple five-step plan including assemblies, registering as a parkrun Primary school and building links with their local junior parkrun. Already, 17,000 pupils have been involved, with a goal of connecting 500 schools across the UK.

Healthy Goals launches in September 2025, offering free weekly fitness and wellbeing sessions in Nottingham City. Designed for young people aged 11–16 and adults 18+, sessions combine fun exercise, mindfulness and social activities to support healthy, active families beyond the school day. Delivered by Nottingham Forest Community Trust with funding from the Premier League Charitable Fund, Public Health Teams, and Nottingham City Council Council.
