Take extra care on the busiest day for travel

Winter Wonderland 2024

National Highways is predicting that today (Friday 20 December) is likely to be the busiest on the roads across the whole festive period.

The authority has therefore removed 95 per cent of roadworks across the motorways and major A-roads that it's responsible for to help keep things moving. You can read more here.

In Nottingham, as the final weekend before Christmas, there will again be thousands of shoppers in the city centre and many of them visiting the Winter Wonderland (above). Reminder, too, that Notts County are at home to Bradford tomorrow (Saturday) - kick-off is 3pm.

Please leave longer for your journey, and travel by public transport if possible to avoid getting stuck in jams 🚗🚗🚗
