Our resident LiON has been busy and checked his list (twice) to bring you the lowdown on the Christmas activities and events taking place in Nottingham for both families and adults.

National Ice Centre Holiday Club
Open to children aged 7-13, we’ve got an exciting schedule which will help children to develop skills and boost confidence in preparation for their ice skating sessions. Each day will be full of sporting activities and guided arts and crafts activities will also be incorporated across the day. More Information

Places Of Welcome
Places of Welcome are run by local groups who want everyone in their community to have a place to go for a friendly face, a cup of tea and a conversation if and when they need it. Find out more....

Dungeons and Dragons Club
Although dragons may not be your typical Christmas animal, Thursdays at Basford Library are a time for an adventure! Come along to a starter D&D session and learn how to play from an experienced dungeon master. Completely free and all materials provided. Click here for more information

Holiday Activities Programme Led By Ignite!
The project is designed to nurture children’s creativity and curiosity, to introduce families to facilities in their local area, to foster connections between communities and nature. This Winter their activities will take place at Green's Windmill and Science Centre, where you will explore the Windmill, Community garden and Science Centre. More Information

Free & Cheap Food
Food banks provide parcels and social eating projects provide free hot meals to residents in receipt of a referral, which often takes the form of a voucher. For more information please click here. Please also consider donating food to your local food banks during the Christmas period.

Women's Health Survey
Nottingham City Council’s Public Health team are writing a Women’s Health Needs Assessment and are seeking the views of local women (who live in Nottingham City and/or registered with a Nottingham GP) aged 16+ regarding their health and wellbeing. Please be aware this survey closes on Sunday 17th December.
Your feedback will help us to:
- Assess how women access health & care services
- Understand which aspects of health are most important to women
- Identify any gaps
