Welcome to the third issue of our weekly summer attractions guide. We're halfway through now and we hope you've been finding inspiration for activities and days out. Today we're bringing you another hand-picked selection.

Whether you're looking for affordable family fun, relaxing weekend activities, or to try something completely new, we guarantee there'll be something for everyone!

The National Ice Centre has some exciting activities coming up this summer, whether you want to learn to skate or play, there is something for everyone! The next Summer Holiday Club is from Monday 14 - Friday 18 August for those aged 7-13, with days full of sporting activities and guided arts and crafts, all designed to enhance co-ordination and self-expression.

Take the tots for a special themed parent and tots skating session every Friday throughout August, with under the sea, space adventure and dinosaur themes.

There's also a three-day Ice Hockey Camp from Wednesday 16 - Friday 18 August, for those aged 5-17 to gain over two hours of ice time each day with hockey-themed activities.

Always wanted to learn how to ice skate? NIC offer two options, the traditional learn to skate pathway which takes place once a week (days vary depending on your level), or intensive skating lessons which fits the six-week skating course into just three days! The next courses are Tuesday 15 - Thursday 17 August and Tuesday 22 - Thursday 24 August.

Naturescape has grown over the years to become the largest producer of British native wildflower seeds in the UK.

They have sold wildflowers in various forms for decades and have worked hard to maintain the quality of seeds, bulbs and plants that they produce and sell.

Come and visit the tearoom and café, and look around the wildflower fields. Naturescape is open 6 days a week, Tuesday to Saturday 9am-4pm and Sunday 10am-4pm with free entry.

National Holocaust Centre & Museum

The National Holocaust Centre and Museum is an inspirational and contemplative place. Set in the beautiful countryside of North Nottinghamshire, the amazing Smith family created a permanent memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. A space for us all to reflect on what it means for our communities today.

They are opening the doors for free on Friday 25 August, and welcome you to look around the museum, and meet the inspirational survivors and other local charities.

The Sunflower Experience & Maize Maze

The Sunflower Experience is once again open this summer, and new for 2023, a Maize Maze!

With thousands of sunflowers and pick-your-own potatoes, gladioli and courgette, and a beautiful Wildflower Meadow, this is the perfect day out for all the family!

The Sunflower Experience and Maize Maze is open Wednesday to Sunday 10am-4pm. There is no need to book, and the entrance fee is a pre-payment for produce picked, including access to The Sunflower Experience and Maize Maze.
