Welcome to the Easter 2023 Edition of the ASKLiON Newsletter.
In this issue, we're excited to share with you fun family activities around Nottingham that make sure you get your LiON's share of excitement, because we all know hiding those eggs will only keep the kids entertained for so long. We also highlight local community groups that provide support & activities to both adults and families.

Children's Activities
After a long winter, spring is arriving with the Easter Holidays. We have gathered all activities taking place across the city for children and young people to enjoy. From sports to arts and places to visit, there is a wide range of activities for children of all ages. Visit Holidays Activities for more information

FREE Fun and Food
Additionally, lots of clubs have been setup to offer a range of different activities and free food. These clubs are open to all pupils who receive free school meals, but some additional places are available to all children on a first-come-first-served basis. Visit the FREE Fun and Food site now.

Nottingham City Libraries
This season Nottingham City Libraries are running a variety of Easter themed crafts for children as well as their regular TotsTime groups. For adults they have arts & crafts, chess, games and work groups to just somewhere to go for a natter, visit the ASKLiON Libraries Page for listings.

 There are so many new local groups & activities being added to ASKLiON every week! Below is just a snapshot of the fantastic variety of things available to you in Nottingham. Visit the ASKLiON things to do page and have a look through by category.
Did you know? The easiest way is just to use the search bar at the top of ASKLiON and type in what you fancy: chess, games, yoga, football, dancing, singing or anything in-between. Finding a new local group to contact with is that easy!
Nottingham Women's Centre
Nottingham Women’s Centre provides a supportive space to help all self-identifying women achieve their goals. They offer training, low-cost counselling, educational courses, guidance and lots more to help women gain the confidence and the skills they need to become stronger and more independent.
The centre has a variety of activities such as Mindful Yoga, Crafty Club and a Conversational Skills Group throughout the week. Check out their events calendar for a full list of groups.

Step Clog Dancing
Described as “Rhythmic, Percussive dancing.” They encourage ALL abilities, genders & ages. Please note under 16's must be accompanied by an adult. Their aim is to have FUN, keep fit as well as uphold a long-standing tradition. ALL musicians are MOST welcome! Click here for more information

Pots and Pints
One for the adults! Emma Kimbley Studio and Rough Trade run a monthly Pots & Pints night. This will include pinching, sculpting, hand building as well as a fun games and surprises throughout each evening. Oh! And you will receive your first drink on them! Delicious. Click here for more information

CoCo Club (Community Coffee Club)
Social group for older people (55+) @ The Vine Community Centre. Meeting every 2 weeks for coffee and chat. Group led session. Sessions include talks from guest speakers, games, crafts and activities. Free to attend, no booking required. Click here for information

Nottingham Community Centres
Looking for somewhere to host your next kids party? Many centres have rooms available to hire! Community centres are friendly, welcoming places at the heart of community life.
