Memorial Gardens Restoration Update

Queen Victoria Statue

The Memorial Gardens restoration at Victoria Embankment should be complete by the end of this year, thanks to £1.1million from the National Lottery Heritage Fund along with match funding from The Transforming Cities Fund, The War Memorials Trust and Nottingham City Council.

There is still plenty to be done, but the Memorial Gardens Association (MeGA) are hard at work keeping the gardens looking in tip top shape each week! Sessions are held on Monday mornings each week (9.30 - 11.30am) so if you want to join in then why not pop down to see them

Nottingham Green Festival 2022

Nottingham Green Festival provides the place for everyone to learn, explore and try the latest in everything environmentally friendly and ethical, while having lots of fun in a beautiful setting.

The event is on Sunday 11th September between 12 - 6pm, is free entry and is based at the beautiful Nottingham Arboretum.

And even better, we'll be there! ;)

Why not pop, say hello and get involved in some of the activities being run?

Wilder Nottingham

Get involved in new Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust project Nextdoor Nature! Nextdoor Nature aims to bring communities together to make space for nature where they live and work. Everyone can make a difference, from making a network of wildlife friendly gardens with your neighbours, to creating a community vegetable garden. We are looking to work with interested individuals, or existing community groups (they don’t have to be nature/wildlife groups!) - we would love to hear from you! If you would like to get involved or find out more, please email wilder@nottswt.co.uk, or call/text/WhatsApp Jasmine on 07756917280.

There is still time to have your say....

There is still time to have your say on our volunteer programme, whether you have joined us for a session or not!

As mentioned in our last e-newsletter, we are conducting a short survey to find out how you think the last year has gone and what we can do to improve Nottingham Green Guardians from our communications, the volunteer portal and the sessions we put on for you to attend.

Follow this link to our survey and let us know what you would like to see more (or less) of in the future whether you have already volunteered with us or not!
