Nottingham Carnival - This Sunday

Sun 21 August

Victoria Embankment

Head down to Victoria Embankment this Sunday for the FREE annual carnival parade.

Starting at 2.00pm, enjoy hundreds of spectacular costumed dancers as they parade to the pulsating beats of soca, steelband and samba drums along the 2.3km route.

The accompanying festival features four music stages that include everything from Lovers Rock, Reggae, RnB, to Afrobeats.

The stage line ups include Winston Reedy & Band, Janet Kay - who reached Number 2 in 1979 with the worldwide hit ‘Silly Games’ and Serani, a Jamaican dancehall singer who collaborated with Sean Paul on the 2008's 'No Games', subsequently sampled by Eminem. Plus an array of local talent.

Sample traditional Caribbean street food as well as other international flavours and enjoy a fully licensed bar. Plus funfair and arts and craft stalls.

Watch the parade for free with tickets for entry to the carnival site now available. Advance tickets are available online for £4 or £5 on the door (free for under 12's).

Ibiza Orchestra Live - This Saturday

This best loved story of star crossed lovers and feuding families will be performed in authentic Elizabethan costumes against the backdrop of Wollaton Hall.

This performance was originally planned for 19 July and all visitors that pre-booked tickets will simply be able to attend on Tuesday 23rd August with their original ticket.

The Arboretum Beer Festival returns with great real ales, and craft beer alongside amazing entertainment, local street food, fun and games.
