Park bench on tour!

Did you see our bench?

In August we took our bench on a tour of Nottingham's parks and open spaces for a week to find out what people thought about their local parks; what they liked? How they used them? Any barriers that stop them using them more? What would they like to see from their parks in the future?

We visited; Woodthorpe Park, Hucknall Walkway Local Nature Reserve, Hoylake Park and Robin Hood Chase.

The feedback was great and we will be looking to take it back out!

'I cut through the park to do my shopping as it's the nicest route'

'We want to see more on our local parks so we don't have to travel to the bigger parks'

The Quality audit on Nottingham's parks and open spaces is now complete!

Training of staff and partners for future site audits will be held at the beginning of October.

An audit report will be available at the end of the month.

Hot off the press!

Our school activity packs have arrived and will shortly be distributed to a couple of schools as a pilot to provide exciting activities and engagement with pupils about their local parks and open spaces.

Watch this space for the feedback!
