Learning from Multi-Agency Review Child M
The NCSCB has recently issued a briefing note in response to the learning from a Serious Case Review. The aim of the briefing note is to share key learning across the NCSCB partnership to inform frontline practitioners of the issues identified by the review and learning that can be applied to improve practice.
Key learning points include:
- Managing risks when a criminal charge or conviction has not been made
- Best practice when cases are being closed
- Professionals taking personal responsibility to be kept informed

Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018
The Department for Education has revised Working Together to Safeguard Children, which is a guide to inter-agency working to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
The Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Board (NCSCB) has issued a self-directed learning session to accompany the guidance to support professionals to understand their role in safeguarding children.
The guidance and the self-directed learning session can both be found here.
