
There's so much happening in Nottingham this Halloween...
Pumpkin carving, ghoulish
entertainment, a ghost train and storytelling will be on offer in Old
Market Square untilĀ Tuesday 31 October
as part of Nottingham City Councilās Halloween entertainment.
Venues including Brewhouse Yard, Wollaton Hall,
Nottingham Castle, the National Justice Museum, intu Victoria Centre and
Newstead AbbeyĀ have dungeon tours, ghost walks, face-painting, a āmagic
schoolā, the chance to ādine with the deadā, paranormal investigations and
other activities.

Walk will be offering free tours between Saturday 28 and Tuesday 31 October,
taking in the graveyard of St Nicolasā Church and the caves under Ye Old Salutation
Inn.

Join us for two big FREE fireworks displays at 7.15pm and 9pm at the Forest!
The lighting of the biggest bonfire in the East Midlands will be at 7.45pm, and you can enjoy aĀ great family night out with fairground rides and food stalls too!
We're expecting it to be very busy, so If you are in a group or have small children, agree a meeting point if you're separated and keep hold of children's hands.
Please do not bring your own fireworks or sparklers to this event.

Don't miss the
final day of Dinosaurs of China, which is set to be a cracker. Join us and send
the dinosaurs off in style...
Between 11am and 3pm on 29 October, Hunter the animatronic Sinraptor will
makeĀ number of appearances.Ā Try your hand at fossil making, dino rubbing and calligraphy, 'Dig for a Dino', face painting and make dinosaur
wearables. Enjoy 'Hawks of Steel' birds of prey and, of course, this'll be your
last chance to see the exhibition before itās packed up and returns to
China.

 Nottinghamās Acting City Archaeologist, Scott Lomax, will give tours of caves at the Museum of Nottingham Life, followed
by an illustrated talk about his research into a medieval burial site in
Nottingham city centre.
The cave tour will concentrate on one of the little-known
uses of caves cut into the rock beneath Nottingham Castle: isolation of those
āvisitedā by plague.
This will be followed by a talk in one of the caves which
is not usually open to the public. The talk will concentrate on the burial
site, located on Cranbrook Street, where human remains representing an
estimated 90 individuals were found during excavations in 1934 and 1962ā1963.
The cost is £6 per person and booking is required.
