Consent video animation

Thames Valley Police have produced an animated video to raise awareness and understanding of consent.  It is an excellent video that explains consent through comparing it to making a cup of tea!

It is a tool that can be used when working with young people.

Safeguarding Training

The Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Board (NCSCB) has spaces on two training courses – ‘Signs of Safety’ awareness workshops and ‘Safeguarding Children and Young People from Child Sexual Exploitation’ training.  These are open to anyone that works with children and young people.

All Together - Free anti-bullying training for the children’s workforce in Nottinghamshire

The Anti-Bullying Alliance is working with Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council from April 2017 to October 2018 to reduce bullying of children in schools.  As part of that work they are offering FREE training to schools and the wider children’s workforce and parents/carers in Nottingham city and county.

A new Practitioner Guide on how to support children and families affected by a family member's offending, has just been released by i-Hop (Barnardo’s information hub which supports all professionals to work with the children and families of offenders).

Alison Michalska - new President of ADCS

Alison Michalska, Nottingham City Council's Corporate Director of Children and Adults, is the new President of the Association of Directors of Children’s Services (ADCS).  ADCS is the national leadership association in England for statutory directors of children's services and their senior management teams.
