Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of a number of transport communication & marketing projects, campaigns and ongoing service initiatives to support the Council's objectives.

Prepare and implement effective marketing and communication plans for transport projects, in consultation with senior officers and partners.

Ensure that transport communications and marketing activity is aligned with council-wide activity and messaging.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Minimum of two years' experience in communications and marketing, with a strong track record of achieving targets and delivering outcomes. Some experience of the transport sector is desirable.
  • Experience of working with internal and external clients, partner organisations and a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience of using the full range of marketing channels, including media handling and digital communications.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.

As a HGV Fitter/Mechanic you would maintain, inspect, repair and test the City Councils and external customers’ vehicles and equipment to prescribed standards in accordance with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency guide lines, manufacturer standards and the Councils Operator licence conditions.
The positions will be based at, Eastcroft Depot- London Road Nottingham. Flexibility of working hours is vital to our customer expectations and meeting service delivery targets.
We require staff to work an extended day on shifts or nights.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- We are looking for applicants with a minimum of three years' experience of working in a Commercial or the Public Sector vehicles, and are qualified to the minimum NVQ3/City & Guilds or equivalent standards. MOT tester qualification would be an advantage.

- A current driving licence is essential, with an LGV category C preferred.

- The applicants must demonstrate knowledge of working on a wide range of vehicles, working on their own initiative to manufactures times, completing and operating maintenance systems both written and electronically.

- Attend additional training courses, work shifts and overtime.

- You may also be required to participate in the out of hours call out rota.
