We are looking for an organised person to support the work of the Social Care Duty and Children and Families Direct Teams. You will be required to use our call management system whilst interrogating our case management system (training will be provided) to provide appropriate information to the caller who may be a professional from partners services such as health the police or schools or a member of the public.
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• A polite, conscientious and professional manner is essential for this post you will need the ability to remain calm under pressure whilst being sensitive to customer's needs.
• You will have the ability to write/type letters in clear English ensuring that the information you are providing is accurate.
• Other duties will include arranging appointments and meeting, minute taking, and dealing with finance matters as requested by your line manager.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Assist and support to exercise choice and control in accordance with their needs, preferences and aspirations,

Encourage motivate and support citizens to maintain or regain maximum independence in all aspects of daily living and purpose,

Write and maintain up to date individual person centred care plans for Citizens,

Distribute and administer and keep accurate records of all medicines dispensed in line with legislation and departmental procedures.

The Council is committed to growing our foster care service and seek to reduce our dependence on external foster care providers. Current the council spends £11 million in funding external fostering placements and this is not sustainable for the long-term.
 
In order to grow out internal provision of foster carers, the council is investing in an expansion programme.
 
We are seeking a Business support office to support the fostering services in its expansion programme.
 
The post holder will work closely with the fostering recruitment consultant and act as the first point of contact for fostering recruitment activities.
 
If you have experience in the recruit of foster carers or supporting services in the delivery of set targets, along with strong relationships building abilities, then this may be the role for you!

• To lead on specific projects as requested by the Fostering Manager. To lead on the development of recruitment and selection practice and processes, liaising closely with the Business Support Assistants with regards to implementing new practice and process and providing expert advice and support in relation to complex recruitment and retention issues.
