This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Council’s Analysis & Insight directorate. Working flexibly as part of a successful expanding education traded service, you will play a key role in developing, promoting and delivering modern analytical products to agreed timelines to meet schools, academies, partnerships and other local authorities’ needs and compete with other providers in this market place.
 
This critical Principal Analyst position will play a key role in supporting the Children’s and Families agenda through creating insight, analysis and performance reports to drive school improvement. You will also proactively support the development of new performance management frameworks driven by national policy and the government’s move towards more outcome focussed performance indicators.
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• You will have knowledge and proven experience of using and developing a range of business intelligence tools e.g. SQL, Access and Excel to support advanced performance reporting requirements.
• You will be adept at analysing, interpreting and communicating complex written and statistical data in a variety of formats.
• You will have experience of designing frameworks for capturing more qualitative data and measuring outcomes.
• You will have an enquiring mind, be an effective communicator and be passionate about using data and information to make a difference to outcomes for Children and Young People.

This is an important, interesting and unique post within the local authority; we hope to attract strong candidates prepared to take on responsibility, show initiative and with the skills to work in partnership with schools, families and a range of services.
 
You will be responsible for coordinating the effective delivery of all Elective Home Education procedures.
You will monitor, coordinate and collate relevant data and information and produce reports and presentations on a regular basis.
