NCC Passenger Transport Services has a number of vacancies available for Transport Services Drivers and Bus Escorts.  The service transports over 600 vulnerable children and adults on a daily basis to schools and adult day centres.  The service has doubled in size over the last two years and we now have the opportunity for more Nottingham people to join and work for a reputable employer with good rates of pay.  The Drivers hourly rate is £9.10 per hour and the Bus Escort hourly rate is £8.20 per hour and you will also have access to a very good pension if required.

The vacancies are for Drivers at 22 hours per week, term time only, and the Bus Escorts at 20 hours per week, term time only.  We operate a split shift system and hours vary between 7.00am to 9.30am and then returning to duty at 3.00pm until 5.00pm.  All posts work to an annualised hours system which provides us with a flexible workforce.  Therefore, working patterns will fluctuate with demand but they are generally balanced over a 12 month period.

The posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS check and medical questionnaire.  In addition, in order to ensure the safety of our drivers, employees and citizens in our community, it is felt important to ensure that we introduce a range of measures to safeguard our operations.  Drivers are therefore subject to further checks.  Whilst it is the duty of the licence holder to notify DVLA and their employer of any medical condition which may affect safe driving, we would require all drivers to complete a Medical Declaration and this is subject to an annual review.  Drivers will also be subject to annual driving licence checks.

Please see the Job Description / Person Specification which are attached further down on this page.
