Hi, may I take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy New Year. As
portfolio holder for Growth and Transport I am keen to ensure that all local
people and businesses are fully informed on the latest monthly low carbon
transport developments taking place in Nottingham. This month sees the start
of an exciting and busy 2017. We update you with stories about some
upcoming events that you can take part in, a reminder of the changes to the
electric bus services and an update on the Charge Point project procurement.

Clean Air Zone Business Networking
Nottingham City Council, in partnership with Cenex, will be hosting a free-to-attend evening Clean Air Zone Networking Drinks Reception on Tuesday 7th February 2017 at Nottingham Contemporary.
The event is targeted at anyone from the public or private sector who operates vehicles in and around Nottingham and will provide opportunities to network with fellow fleet and vehicle operators, as well as representatives from the Council, to discuss the various issues and opportunities that the Clean Air Zone will pose for local businesses and logistics operators. This event will provide support and advice on how best to prepare for changes, and offer opportunities to share best practice and learning.
A business card and knowledge exchange will also take place throughout the event.

Go Ultra Low Nottingham & Intu Partnership Event
Nottingham City Council, in partnership with intu, are hosting an EV (electric vehicle) public engagement and test drive event on Friday 24th
& Saturday 25th February 2017 at Nottingham's intu Victoria Centre. The event will be located
outside John Lewis on the lower mall. This event is
the first of our 2017 Go Ultra Low promotions, showcasing electric and
plug-in hybrid vehicles. Visitors to intu Victoria
Centre will also have the chance to test drive a low emission vehicle on Level 6 of the multi storey car
park.
We encourage you to attend, meet
members of the Go Ultra Low team, discover more about Ultra Low Emission
Vehicles (ULEVs) and how you can make the change to Go Ultra Low!

Nottingham Light Night Event
Go
Ultra Low Nottingham
will
be attending the annual Light Night event in Nottingham’s Old Market Square on
Friday 10th February 2017 between 6pm and 9 pm.
Nottingham
Light Night Event provides an annual community engagement in the city of
Nottingham providing activities and events. The Go Ultra Low Nottingham team will be there on the night promoting the project activities so
come and have a chat with a colleague.
As part of Nottingham Light Night, the general public will be
able to discuss the myths of owning an EV by taking part in a myth busting
challenge to help stamp
out the myths and concerns of owning or leasing an EV. Come down and enjoy the
fun at Nottingham’s Light Night event!
