 Christmas in Nottingham
The NET Nottingham Winter Wonderland is back in Old Market Square from Saturday 19 November until Sunday 8 January. Look out for:
- the better than ever ice rink with new Alpine Lodge boot room - book your ice skating now
- the brand new Ice Bar, where you can enjoy a drink at sub-zero temperatures, plus pose with ice sculptures
The Christmas Lights Switch-On will take place on Thursday 24 November in Old Market Square - Join the Facebook event.

 Readers Day - 12 November at County Hall
Join us for a day of author talks, workshops and discussions.
This year we welcome 3 main speakers - international best selling crime writer and poet Sophie Hannah; novelist Joanna Cannon discussing her book The Trouble with Goats and Sheep and Jane Hawking author of the Travelling to Infinity which became the Oscar-winning film, 'The Theory of Everything'. Dr Hawking will discuss her life and writing following the publication of her new novel Silent Music.

Friday 11 November: 2 minute silence at 11am in the Old Market Square
Representatives of the Royal British Legion, together with the Lord Mayor and Sheriff will gather for 2 minutes silence on Friday 11 November at 11am in front of the Council House
Sunday 13 November: Civic Service of Remembrance, from 10.45am at the Victoria Embankment
Join Nottingham dignitaries, plus representatives from the Armed Forces for a civic Remembrance service - all are welcome. Find out more.

 An Evening with Don Lucas at Nottingham Trent University

with one of the world’s top trombone soloists and tutors, Don Lucas. Highly in
demand across the USA and the world, solo performances include Wigmore Hall,
JFK Center, and the Weil Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. The programme will be
varied and will include a performance alongside the NTU Brass ensemble.

Come and swap your edible items at the Community Food Swap. The only rule is that is must be home made, home grown or foraged by yourself. The more stuff you bring, the more you will go home with!
