To investigate and respond to queries in relation to Penalty Charge and Fixed Penalty Notices either by telephone or in writing including preparing criminal prosecution files and case histories. Present evidence in person at Traffic Penalty Tribunal hearings or give evidence in court as appropriate. Liaise with relevant officers in respect of witness statements and verify accuracy of details of PCN/FPN's to enforce payment. Carrying out cash receipting and banking of monies received. To work as part of a team putting team preferences before own. Working in a confidential environment. To be able to learn about a subject in a short period of time from a position of zero knowledge. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Ability to communicate to a high standard both verbally and in writing dealing with contentious issues and irate citizens. 2. Good IT skills and the ability to quickly learn how to use specialist in house software. 3. Ability to work on own personal initiative and with minimum supervision working accurately to meet deadlines. 4. Strong self-motivation together with a flexible and committed approach to work.
