Hi, as portfolio holder for Growth and Transport I am keen to ensure that all City citizens and businesses are fully informed on the latest monthly transport news taking place in Nottingham.

Roadworks - Round up

Round up of some of the roadworks happening this September across Nottingham:

  • Cycle City Western Cycle Corridor works continue on University Boulevard  and finish at the Broadgate roundabout these will be complete in late October Download the leaflet for info
  • Finishing touches to Station area - 11 September -  Temporary traffic management will be in place on Station Street See website for further info.

Events:

Citizens need to be aware of the Ikano Robin Hood Marathon events on the 25th September which will cause major delays in parts of the City. Please download the route map for information of which roads will be affected.

Employers of Nottingham invited to celebrate Cycle To Work Day

National Cycle To Work day takes place on the 14th September 2016 and to celebrate Nottinghamshire Road Safety Partnership is offering employers of Nottingham the chance to register for a 'pop up' cycle safety giveaway event.

To register, employers need to complete the application form and email it to the team at road.safety@nottinghamcity.gov.uk

Safe Urban Driving Course aimed at developing awareness of cyclists

Local Nottingham Charity RideWise have developed a Safe Urban Driving Course (SUD) which will see Learner Drivers ditch the car for a lesson and take a module with a RideWise cycle instructor instead to help with shared user experience on the roads.
