The post holder will be responsible for providing an Architectural design service on a variety of projects, working with multi-disciplinary in-house/external teams toward the safe and successful completion and management of projects/programmes of work. Responsibilities include; demonstrating technical competency and proficiency in design/design management/contract administration/AutoCAD/NBS specification writing, and emerging technologies and processes including Building Information Modelling(BIM); ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, to budget and achieving brief requirements; anticipate problems before they happen and find ways to reach project goals under constantly changing circumstances; report issues to management offering proactive solutions;

Act as project leader/Principal Designer under CDM2015, to plan & deliver projects from inception to completion to an agreed programme and budget incorporating current best value and legislative requirements.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Several years post qualification experience in architectural design services in connection with a wide variety of capital/revenue based projects and programmes, including working knowledge on a range of contracts including; JCT/NEC3/Framework Agreements.

2. Essential experience in; concept design and feasibility work, sketch schemes, desktop studies, brief development, production information, CAD/BIM and general computer skills, awareness of fee monitoring & management practices, value engineering, sustainable design and site experience.

3. Excellent communication skills – including oral and written, numeric, with an ability to skilfully negotiate and build relationships in a range of circumstances. A high level of self-motivation.

4. Knowledge equivalent to that gained in training to BTEC, HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant engineering/construction related field.

£7.85 per hour. 6 posts available.  2 x 1000 hours pa, 2 x 700 hours pa and 2 x 100 hours pa

Working annualised hours, mainly in the summer and less in the winter 

To be part of the Operations & Commercial Trading Team offering a high quality customer care service whilst serving customers in the cafes, shops and museums of the heritage sites and providing help and advice to visitors. 

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- To provide a front line service by serving customers in the cafes, shops and museums of the heritage sites and being customer care conscious in the provision of such a service.

- To operate a cash register and handle reconcile cash, cheques and credit cards in accordance with Nottingham City Council’s financial regulations.

- To provide a constantly well-presented facility by ensuring the heritage sites are clean and tidy at all times by assisting in the daily routine of cleaning, maintenance and sanitation of all areas.

- To adhere to all licensing legislation at all times. To ensure mandatory notices are prominent and enforced.
