There are five positions available for the role of Care Worker Level 1. Fixed Term – various contracts and hours available To provide safe and appropriate personalised care and support to citizens in a way that that maintains their dignity, maximises independence and gives them choice and control over the way their care is provided. To work in any area of Adult Social Care, whether in the home, the community or within a Council establishment. This role will also include someone to one care with citizens. ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Ability to undertake personal care tasks as detailed in the citizens Care Plan / Implementation of Care Plans and contribution to running records and daily monitoring forms. 2. Willingness to undertake training and development, as necessary, to enhance the service (e.g. QCF2 Health & Social Care) 3. Knowledge and understanding of the rights, needs and feelings of vulnerable adults from diverse social and cultural backgrounds. 4. Understand the need for confidentiality and an ability to maintain it. Locations of available posts: • 10 / 20 / 30 hours at Summerwood Day Centre (Clifton) for 12 months. These roles involve one to one care of citizens. • 30 hours at Spring Meadow Day Centre (Meadows) for 3 months. • 30 hours at Martin Jackaman Centre (Aspley) until March 2017. This role involves one to one care of citizens. All sites are easily accessible by public transport. We particularly welcome applicants from black, minority, ethnic communities and disabled people as they are currently under represented within our workforce. Certain Nottingham City Council roles that are advertised carry a Residency Requirement, this means that in order for you to apply for this role you must live within the Nottingham City Council Administrative Boundary.
