Three posts available: Hours will be worked Monday to Sunday on a rota basis

15 or 20 hours at The Oaks (Campbell Street, St. Ann's)

25 hours at Oakdene (Woodborough Road, St. Ann's)

The successful candidate will be responsible for the general cleanliness and hygiene within the establishment, including: the cleaning and vacuuming of floor surfaces and skirting boards; complete hygiene maintenance of bathroom and lavatory areas; maintaining the cleanliness of Citizens' bedrooms, where requested; ensuring that the public areas of the establishment are kept clean, tidy and welcoming; periodical cleaning of internal windows and walls; maintaining the condition of upholstered and carpeted areas by intermittent shampooing and the polishing of furniture ensuring maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the unit.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to be trained to carry out a range of cleaning duties, including using different equipment and materials safely
2. Basic awareness of Health and Safety
3. Ability to work on own initiative and to ask for help when required
4. Basic understanding of different cleaning methods and equipment

Term Time Only (38 weeks per year)

The successful candidate will provide a flexible, culturally appropriate catering service to meet the needs of both internal and external Citizens, staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily management of catering staff rotas and the provision of well-presented nutritious meals.

This role includes menu planning, food ordering and managing the food budget.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Able to provide economical, nutritious, well-presented meals of good quality that meet the nutritional needs of service users, within the resources available. Able to cater for special diets relating to culture, health or religion.

2. Able to manage the food budget and keep records for food budgeting, stock control and cash handling.

3. Aware of the responsibilities under the Food Safety Act and associated legislation relating to food, kitchen and personal hygiene.

4. Able to delegate work to and supervise catering staff.

This role is peripatetic, i.e. the successful applicant will be expected to be flexible and work from various locations across the City area.
